Hi, I'm Helen Kharkov.
Currently residing in Glen Huntly, Melbourne I specialise in bridal, commercial, editorial, personal branding and creative work
As a makeup artist, I focus on creating looks that evoke emotion and inspire thought. I strive to create meaningful and impactful work that speaks to the viewer on a personal level.
My makeup journey started a little differently from most. I stumbled into the rewarding career after taking a makeup course to learn how to paint my own face. Within 2 weeks of starting the short course, I knew that makeup was something that I wanted to do for a living. I get my inspiration from the different faces of my clients and models, which all offer different canvases for my creativity to be unleashed.
My make-up vision has developed over the years thanks to attending the P Louise Pro Make-Up School, multiple masterclasses from amazing artists all over the world and one-on-one education with other talented Melbourne artists.
I was born and bred in Ukraine, lived in the Middle East and then moved to Australia 14 years ago where I was able to develop an extensive portfolio. This portfolio was established after working on many commercial photo shoots for gyms, fashion, skincare, personal branding, boudoir and modelling shoots. Private clients for weddings and other major events, as well as theatre musical productions and TV property shows, also contribute to a large proportion of my collection.
