From Ukraine to Melbourne
Early Life and Travels
I was born in Ukraine to a family of fashion designers. My early years were rich with my homeland's vibrant culture and history. I've always been drawn to beauty, art, fashion, and styling. This passion led me to explore many creative outlets. Before moving to Australia in 2009, I traveled a lot, gaining diverse influences and skills. During these travels, I became a professional personal stylist and shopper, and worked as a bridal designer in my family's business. Each job taught me something new about beauty. Settling in Melbourne began a new chapter where I could mix my international experiences with my love for beauty transformation.
Settling in Australia
When I arrived in Australia in2009, I was amazed by Melbourne's vibrant and diverse culture. I decided to stay and follow my passion for makeup and hair styling. The friendly and welcoming community helped me grow both personally and professionally. Setting up my in-home studio in Glen Huntly was a key moment in my career, allowing me to offer special beauty services to clients across Australia. Melbourne's energetic atmosphere and creative vibe constantly inspire me in my work as a makeup artist and hair stylist. Over the years, I've built a loyal client base and worked with well-known brands, strengthening my place in the beauty industry. Melbourne truly feels like my second home, where I can achieve my dreams and help others feel beautiful.
Professional Journey
Launching My Business
In October 2020, during the global pandemic, I boldly launched my own business. Becoming a Melbourne makeup artist and hair stylist was a dream come true. I wanted a space where clients could experience beauty transformations. Collaborating with renowned brands and getting published helped grow my clientele. Specialising in bridal and commercial work, I quickly earned a reputation for creating stunning, custom looks. My Glen Huntly in-home studio became a serene haven for beauty. Despite the challenging times, my dedication to my craft fueled my success. Launching my business was a learning journey that strengthened my commitment to making everyone feel beautiful.
Specialising in Bridal and Commercial Work
Focusing on bridal and commercial work has allowed me to explore all aspects of beauty artistry. Bridal makeup is one of my favorites; I love being part of such an important day in someone's life. I aim to create looks that enhance natural beauty and last through the wedding day. Every bride has a unique vision, and I tailor my services to fit their specific needs and desires.
On the commercial side, working with brands like Lancome and Shein has been very rewarding. These projects demand creativity and adaptability, constantly pushing me to improve my techniques. Whether it’s for a high-fashion photo shoot or a corporate event, my goal is to deliver great results that match the client's vision. This dual focus keeps my work exciting and allows me to mix creativity with precision.
Teaching and Community Involvement
Makeup Education for All
As a dedicated makeup educator, I love sharing my skills with others. I started by hosting workshops for makeup artists, as well as people who wanted to learn to do their own makeup. I believe anyone can learn makeup, no matter their skill level. My classes cover everything from basic techniques to advanced styles, so everyone learns something valuable.
I have a special focus on young women with disabilities. I offer small group workshops and one-on-one lessons just for them. These sessions provide a safe and supportive space for exploring makeup. I want makeup education to be available to everyone, promoting empowerment and inclusivity. Through my workshops, I hope to inspire others to embrace their beauty and reach their full potential.
